Booking & Cancellation Policy
Initial payment:
To make any reservation, 50% of the total fees are required upfront.
To receive a full refund on your initial payment (minus any transfer fees), guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking.
This payment will be charged to the credit or debit card used when making the reservation. If we are unable to charge a credit or debit card, it is possible to pay with a payment link.
Final Payment
We require the final payment 60 days before checkin by credit or debit card, it’s non refundable.
If this payment can’t be made we have the right to cancel your booking.
If you are making reservation when the checkin is less then 60 days away, the full reservation price will be charged when booking.
This payment will be charged to the credit or debit card used when making the reservation.
If we are unable to charge the credit or debit card, its possible to pay with a payment link.
Changes to a Reservation
Changes to a reservation will not receive any refund, unless they are made within 48 hours of booking.
Early Checkout
In the case of early checkouts, no refund will be given without both prior notice to your departure and without justification, to our discretion.
Post Checkout Refunds
If you complete your stay and request a refund after checkout, it will not be given. If any issue occurs in your stay that means you wish to seek a refund, we must be informed during your stay so we have a chance to rectify any issue, and to arrange an early checkout if no compromise can be made.
Restaurant and Trips Payment
All bills for trips and at the restaurant or bar must be paid before your departure in cash, by credit card payment (+2.5%), or by payment link (+2.5%)
Liability Limitation and Disclaimer
By booking and/or staying at La Vida Resort, you (the "Guest") and all members of your party acknowledge and agree to the following:
The Resort, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and affiliates provide accommodations, facilities, and services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Panamanian law, the Resort disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The Guest assumes all risks associated with the stay, including but not limited to:
Use of beaches, spas services, the restaurants and bar, recreational activities, tours and boat travel, or any on-site or off-site amenities; Slips, falls, accidents, or injuries on premises; Food, beverage, or service-related issues; Theft, loss, or damage to personal property (including valuables left in rooms, vehicles, or common areas); Natural events, weather, insects, wildlife, or force majeure events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Resort, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, death, property damage, emotional distress, loss of enjoyment, or any other loss or damage arising from or related to: The Guest's stay, presence on the property, or participation in any activities; Any act, omission, negligence (ordinary), or default of the Resort or third parties; Any defect, failure, or interruption in facilities or services.
The Guest agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Resort and its affiliates from any claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the Guest's or their party's conduct, negligence, violation of these terms, or use of the Resort's facilities.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by the Resort's gross negligence or willful misconduct, or where such limitation is prohibited by applicable Panamanian law (including relevant provisions of the Código Civil on responsabilidad civil).
The Guest acknowledges that they have read and understood these limitations, have had the opportunity to review them prior to booking, and agree to them voluntarily by ticking the acceptance box during the online booking process. Electronic acceptance constitutes a binding agreement.
Acceptance: By proceeding with the booking and ticking the box confirming agreement to these Terms and Conditions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept this Liability Limitation section on behalf of yourself and all members of your traveling party (including minors). If you are booked in manually and have not ticked the terms and conditions box, you will be required to sign the waver on arrival to the resort.
